As a parent of teenagers, I know how hard it is, at times, to get your son or daughter to talk about their relationship with God. It seems like you're pulling teeth through the arm-pit just to get a straight answer. My hope is that PARENT SYNC will be an effective tool to not only show you what we are teaching our teens each week, but it will also give you, the parent, an effective way to reinforce what we've talked about on Sunday. If teens talk about their faith and discuss key truths they are learning, they are a lot more likely to remember and live out their faith. This was the intent behind God instructing the Israelites to "teach them when you walk, when you sit, when you lie down, and when you wake up."
We are all busy, so my prayer is that PARENT SYNC will encourage, remind, and "sync" you, your teen, and the Gospel. Let me know what you think and share your stories of how God is using this new tool to help your teen grow in their relationship with God.
